Music, what a nice word, it’s already singing in my ears….. As long as I remember I was always listening to music and from different kind.
My father was an adept of crooners, jazz, classic music, bossa nova, french variety…he gave me the love of nice lyrics and classic voices….the occidental french roots. My mom gave me the love of the world music, rythmn, groove, dancing on every kind of music…the african roots. Stevie, Ray, Franck, Al, James….my fab five. Early I started to read music around 8years old, playing guitar for 7years and flute for years at school.
Nothing really special with that, besides I mostly play by ears. Never really learned that much, even if I’m really good in reading music, I was just able to play what I just listened. My teacher was unbelievable, he was playing more than 10 different instruments on my side while I was playing guitar.
An old school old man teaching only classic and flamenco…. I stopped learning from him I wanted to be Jimmy Hendrix, he wanted me to be django reinhardt…Nevertheless I learned a lot, shouldn’t have quit...
Bye bye guitar, welcome home technics... Here is some mix tapes, a mix of my dj and personal influences of course.
I try to match the more than I can with my musical universe, sensibility and to bring to your ears some unknown talents.
